Organisms in the environment are related by how they get food. A food chain is away of showing these food relationships. Every organism is part of food chain.

The arrows in food chain show the direction that food energy move along the chain.Food chains are always begins with plant. Plants are called producers because they produce food. The animals in the food chain are called consumers so the food and energy flow through the food chain from the producers (the plant) to the primary consumers (Rabbit) to secondary consumers (the Fox).

2- Environmental conditions can affect population size. عدد على تأثير لها البيئية الظروف السكان A harsh winter or a bad storm could kill off many plants and animals. On the other hand, a mild winter or a good summer could increase the numbers of plants and animals in the population.
