THE REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS OF A PLANT ARE:

The stamens: they are the male reproductive organs. They are long and have round ends. They make pollen. They are formed by filament and anthers.

The pistil: it is the female reproductive organ. It is formed by the stigma, style and ovary. Its shape looks like a bottle and it has ovules inside.

REPRODUCTIVE PROCESS

• Grains of pollen form on the stamen and reach the ovary by air or by insects. This is called pollination.

• When the ovary is fertilized a seed is produced. This is called fertilization.

• Seeds begin to grow inside the fruit.

• The petals fall off and the flower begins to change into a fruit.

• Finally, the fruit falls to the ground, is eaten by an animal or carried by the wind and a new plant grows from the seed. This stage is called germination.
