    The Inner city is the 3rdzonecommonly consisting ofTerraced housing built in the19thcentury.

    This area usuallyexperienced social andeconomic problems.

    Some have now beenreplaced with high rise flats

    in order to maximize the useof spaces.

    Commonly 1920 1950shousing usually large in sizeand with a garden.

    Some facilities such asrows of shops may exists.

    The land gets cheaperaway from the CBD, so

    planning for new houses iscommon.

    OUTER SUBURB

    Modern housing, large insize, often detached with acluster pattern housing.

    Ideal areas for families

    with young children, houseswith gardens, garages andSafe roads.

    Access to parks andcommon spaces is common.

    Called the Commuterzone
