1.. Introduction:Media is the medium through which the mass can have access to information and also serve the purpose of entertainment. Electronic and print media includes internet, television, radio which are used to communicate with the general people. Presently media plays a very important role in everyday life. Especially television is a widely used medium for mass communication. TV is also a source of knowledge and information.Satellite TV channels are those channels that telecast television programs to the different parts of the world via satellite. Satellite telecasting has added new dimensions to television. Nowadays a huge number of satellite channels telecast wide range of programs of varied interest. The programs of all the channels are not beneficial like BTV, NTV, ATN Bangla, and Bangla vision, Desh TV, Channel I, Discovery, National Geographic and CNN. Some channel telecast highly informative programs and can enrich our mind with sage and sagacity. On the other hand, some channels like cause cultural decay and moral degradation because they are full of nudism and vulgarism. Our national culture can be fostered and enriched by avoiding those channels and programs and having to keep the good and giving up the bad. Our own culture programs and elements should be seen and enjoyed frequently. Those programs which are harmful should be avoided. Thats to say, constructive programs of satellite TV channels should be enjoyed. We also have to find out how to derive the best benefit from satellite TV channels keeping its evil up to the minimum limit.

1.1. Background of the study:Bangla Visionis a satellite TV channel broadcast fromBangladesh. It began its formal transmission on 31 March 2006 through satellite Telstar 10. Since then the channel is continuing non-stop transmission for 24-hours every day and on air various programs and news bulletins. This Channel is not available in USA & CANADA. Bangla Vision, a satellite TV channel, is owned by Shamol Bangla Media Limited. Mr. Abdul Haque is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company while Mr. Mohammad Aminul Huq is the Managing Director of Bangla Vision. They have three well equipped studios, nice technical installation and about 200 plus employees are working on their head quarter at Dhaka. It has many district level offices where many representatives working for their channel It airs different kind of news and entertainment programs such as news bulletins, drama, serials, music, talk-shows etc. The logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image. Among The list of Bangla entertainment and News TV channel, Bangla vision TV has gained goodwill through delivering timely News Bulletin, Drama, Music, Cinema, serials, talk shows, etc. Although the channel is based on Bengali also provide news in English. Bangla vision a news channel plays a positive and large role in building the nation through healthy entertainment. Bangla vision is a basically Bengali language digital cable television channel, though they have English bulletins. The most colorful program and the best program quality keep it distinct compare with other satellite channels. 24/7 hours service increases its popularity.1.2 Justification of the study:This TV channel always provide real and latest current issues to the viewers with better parental control technology on screen. Over the past 9 years, the red-green-Blue monogram of Bangla vision Channel has become one of the most familiar sights to the Bangladeshi television audience. Being the digital Bangla satellite TV channel Bangla vision TV channel has been come a long distance from where it started off. Today this unique television channel sets itself apart from its competitors while being inspired with the Bengali culture, engraving it among many and thus maintaining its status as the leader in the Bangladeshi media scenario.1.3. Products:Bangla vision channel has a vast array of programs on its schedule showing great diversity. It stresses on building a meaningful relationship with the audience, therefore it offers something for everyone. Bangla vision has well and truly achieved the title of being an info-entertainment channel with equal focus on both. The channel has always been the first to try things out differently. Daily soaps and mega serials were also mostly unknown to the people of Bangladesh before Bangla vision took the initiative and consequently popularized them. It was the Channel with the traditional one-day special programming on occasions like Eid and Pahela Baishakh, and extended it to almost a week, a trait that all the channels entering the scene afterwards have taken up as well. Bangla vision channel News has gained widespread acceptance as being one of the most unbiased and objective in the country. This has been one of the Channels most viewed programs since it took off. Bangla vision channels live political debate show " Front line has been another landmark in the Bangladeshi television history. Entertainment related programs for children are Khude Rasik-Raz, Ebon Class er baire. Beauty and fashion Related programs are Soundorjo kotha, Bichitra, Star world, & Amar Ami, Musical programs includes : Music club. Daily soaps are Sohojatri, Nonstop, Khor kuta , pagla haowa, Live shows are Rat Birate, Lal Golap, Din-protidin, Ami akhon ki korbo?, Education related programs for the candidates is Porikkhar Prostuti. Health relates program is Valo Thakun, News related programs Shamol Bangla, Sokal balar roddur.Several types of telefilms are telecast on this channel in many different occasion such as Sikandar Box Series, Arman vai Series, Tin Jomoj, Shopner suru, Akti Ful Akti vul, Angry Bird etc. This TV channel made most memorable film titled Valentine by M-SIB in Qatar. Another popular film was titled Kase Asar Sahosi Golpo.2. Scope of the study:Several researchers have been done with regard to this research to know the viewers satisfaction of satellite TV channel in many countries. But in Bangladesh such type of research is done to know the satisfaction level of viewers in Bangla vision TV channel. This research will be done on the area of Dhanmondi and Eastern university campus. Basically, researcher will focus on the responses of people to know the satisfaction level of satellite TV channel especially on Bangla vision TV channel.3. Research objectives:To find out the viewers preference on Bangla vision TV channel.3.1. Broad objective:The study aims to identify the viewers preference of Bangla vision TV channel.3.2. Specific objectives:The flowing specific objectives are considered in order to support the aim of the research: To identify the Culture of the family influence on choosing satellite TV channel. To identify the viewers satisfaction of drama. To identify the viewers satisfaction of news. To identify the viewers satisfaction of magazine programs. To identify the viewers satisfaction of Reality shows. To identify the viewers satisfaction of Live shows. To identify the viewers satisfaction of sort Film. To identify the viewers satisfaction of Movies. To identify the competitive scenario of Bangla vision TV channel. To identify its brand value. 4. Literature review: Viewer:In general viewer is a person who watches television, or often devote of television or of a particular kind of television program. Viewers are any of various optical devices to facilitate viewing, especially one that is small and boxlike with a magnifying lens, and sometimes a light source, in which a photographic transparency may be viewed. According to Kenneth, viewer is an official inspector of property, public works, or the like a person who watches television a person who sees or looks at something a device that is used to look at photographs. Satisfaction:Satisfaction means Customer level of approval when comparing a service or product's perceived performance with his or her expectations. Satisfaction Also could refer to the discharge, extinguishment, or retirement of an obligation to the acceptance of the obligor, or fulfillment of a claim. While satisfaction is sometimes equated with performance, it implies compensation or substitution whereas performance denotes doing what was actually promised by Jill Marshal. Viewers Satisfaction:Viewers satisfaction is essential for business success in today's marketplace. Viewers satisfaction measures how well the expectations of a viewer concerning the service provided by the company have been met. Viewers satisfaction has been a popular topic in marketing practice and academic research since Cardozo's (1965) initial study of customer effort, expectations and satisfaction. Despite many attempts to measure and explain viewers satisfaction, there still does not appear to be a consensus regarding its definition (Giese and Cote, 2000). Viewers satisfaction is typically defined as a post consumption evaluative judgment concerning a specific product or service (Gundersen, Heide and Olsson, 1996). It is the result of an evaluative process that contrasts pre-purchase expectations with perceptions of performance during and after the consumption experience (Oliver, 1980). The most widely accepted conceptualization of the viewers satisfaction concept is the expectancy disconfirmation theory (McQuitty, Finn and Wiley, 2000). The theory was developed by Oliver, who proposed that satisfaction level is a result of the difference between expected and perceived value of the viewers.According to Phil Janes, Viewers satisfaction is an abstract concept and involves such factors as the quality of the service, the quality of the service provided, the atmosphere of the location where the service is purchased, the price of the service and the choosing of that brand. Viewers satisfaction on Bangla vision TV channel:Both public and private sectors have given much attention to the concept viewers satisfaction , it has been a popular topic in marketing practice and academic research since Cardozo's (1965) initial study of customer effort, expectations and satisfaction. Despite many attempts to measure and explain viewers satisfaction, there still does not appear to be a consensus regarding its definition (Giese and Cote, 2000). Bangla vision service Provider Company regarded Viewers satisfaction as a post consumption evaluative judgment concerning a specific product or service. It is the result of an evaluative process that contrasts choosing expectations with perceptions of performance during and after the consumption experience. Satisfaction level is a result of the difference between expected and perceived value of the viewers Satisfaction in the past couple of decades. Naturally, administrators have requested their staff to do viewers satisfaction studies for their own organizations service. An analyst or researcher must operationlized the concept of customer satisfaction in order to measure it. 5. Hypothesis: Parents can play pivotal role in choosing satellite TV channel. Sisters have special choice in satellite TV channel. Brothers influence in choosing satellite TV channel. Culture of the family influence on choosing satellite TV channel. Religion of the family choosing satellite TV channel. Income levels of the family have great impact on satellite TV channel. Promotional masses influence in choosing satellite TV channel. Service attributes influences in choosing satellite TV channel. A brand loyalty has influences in choosing satellite TV channel.

6. Methodology:As per the aims and objectives, the research requires an in-depth identification and analysis strategy. In order to support the idea, evidence of relevant data is essential. According to Saunders et al (2007), there are two basic method of collecting data:

1. Primary data: We collect primary data from distributing questionnaires to the interviewers.

2. Secondary data: We have gathered Secondary data from the analysis of the different types of Bangla visions pdf files and annual reports, from Google, using the website of Wikipedia and www.bangla vision.com.

6.1. Research design: The proposed study will use a conceptual frame work to determine the family influence affecting consumer behavior. The study belongs to the area of viewers satisfaction in Bangla vision TV channel. It requires and understanding of each viewers experience and perception about this Bangla vision TV channel. Traditional descriptive approaches to data collection using survey techniques are suitable and reliable for this study. A questionnaire was designed to conduct the research some demographic question was included in the questionnaire. Some very contemporary & open-ended questions were added in the questionnaire, which reflected the interviewees notion about TV media. The researcher will have to collect responses from Dhanmondi are and Eastern University Campus. The research will be undertaken methodically by some of these following steps:1. Sampling and data collection2. Collecting secondary data3. Analyzing and evaluating data collected4. Conclusion and inference.6.2. Data collection method:A questionnaire will be used to collect the data. The initial questionnaire will be revised to ensure proper wording, length and sequencing the questions. The data will be collected from different age and professional male and female viewers from the area of Dhaka city.

6.3. Questionnaires:Responses from Dhaka especially Dhanmondi and Eastern University campus area will have the opportunity to gain access to the questionnaire. The questionnaire will be targeted to the viewers within the assigned sample. It will be a close ended questionnaire since it will provide numerous options from which the response will have the freedom to choose.6.4. Sampling technique:The sampling technique is non-probability convenience sampling.

Findings:We have surveyed in 40 different respondents at Eastern University campus and I have find out the following results: Almost all of the respondents said that they are watched Bangla vision TV channel. Most of the respondents spend about more than 2 hours for watching TV channel. Maximum of the respondents strongly agreed that Compares to other TV channel Bangla Vision is more popular. Most of the respondents agreed that Advertising campaign for this channel is frequent. Almost half of the respondent strongly agreed to that Cultural functions sponsoring by Bangla vision are organized on this days. Most of the people are neutral that they are satisfied for its network coverage. Maximum people are neutral that Bangla vision TV channel is available in all districts of Bangladesh. Maximum of the respondent agrees that the news provided by Bangla vision TV channels are always correct.11. Recommendation:From the research I have found the following recommendations: Bangla vision Channel should go for more publicity. Bangla vision channel should modify their logo. Bangla vision channel should add more value added service. Bangla vision channel should go for more publicity. Bangla vision channel should improve their programs. Bangla vision channel should develop the news and should telecast more English news bulletin. Bangla vision should develop their daily soaps. More and more reality shows and talk shows should be telecast by Bangla vision. Bangla vision TV channel should improve more education related programs etc.

12. Conclusion:Among The list of Bangla entertainment and News TV channel, Bangla vision TV has gained goodwill through delivering timely News Bulletin, Drama, Music, Cinema, serials, talk shows, etc. This TV channel always provide real and latest current issues to the viewers with better parental control technology on screen. Today this unique television channel sets itself apart from its competitors while being inspired with the Bengali culture, engraving it among many and thus maintaining its status as the leader in the Bangladeshi media scenario. The most colorful program and the best program quality keep it distinct compare with other satellite channels.
