Sexism is defined and discussed in relation to the current women's movement. Research findings, as well as examples taken-from various-texts, indicate-sex stereotyping and discrimination in instructional materials. A list of available remedies and resources for those who want to challenge sexism in education is included. It is recommended that,teachers take a more critical look at the materials they are currently using in their classrooms in an attempt to identify implicit sex bias and discrimination. (Lie)
