• Following and testing each athlete’s progression throughout the years
• Showing professional pathway to elite level performance and attitude
• Motivating athletes for future careers in canoeing as professionals and coaches
Tools:
• Using the support of high leveled coaches
• Using contemporary training methods regarding volume and intensity
• Individualized training programmes
• Evaluation of performance using time trials and competition results
• Socializing development
As part of the ICF Development Programme and the continuous support of the TIP project, the
following three programmes were organised in 2019:
• Training camp and participation in the World Cup 2 in Duisburg/ GER
• Training camp and participation in the Junior/U23 World Championships in

/GER 26.05 - 03.06 2019
Venues:
Kolonics Watersports Centre, Budapest
Olympic / National Regatta Course, Szeged
The ICF with the financial and logistical support of the Hungarian Canoe Federation organised a
Training Camp in Budapest followed by the participation in the World Cup 2 in Duisburg. In addition,
the women canoe paddlers among the invited training camp participants took part in the 7th Women
Canoe Cup in Szolnok/ HUN at 18-19.05 2019 (Report in Annex 1).
This training camp was held in accordance with the ICF general concept and the aforementioned
aim of the TIP, and thereby supported the progress of talented athletes under the age of 23 from
developing or financially weak federations via invitation to this programme. 20 National Federations
with 33 athletes and 3 coaches took part in this programme (List in Annex 2).
All expenses for the participation in this programme were provided by the Hungarian Canoe
Federation including the travelling cost from Budapest to Duisburg. The organisation/ logistical tasks
were provided by the ICF. The participants paid their own traveling expenses. The programme was
supported by Hungarian coaches.
For the evaluation table, the test results and the athletes’ feedback, see the Annex 6, 7, 8.
2. Training camp and participation in the Junior/U23 World Championships in
Baskov/ Romania 27.07-04.08 2019
The ICF, with the cooperation of the host Romanian Canoe Federation of the Junior/U23 World
Championships, organised the programme. The ROM NF provided the lodging and board for 35
athletes (including 2 coaches) for a discounted price of 30 Euros per day per person in very good
accomodations and food. This expense was paid by the ICF. The participants paid the travel costs

to and back from Bucharest. The boats were provided by NELO and PLASTEX for free of charge.
Finally 19 NFs with 30 athletes took part in programme (List in Annex 3).
The training and participation in the World Championships was very successful in terms of athlete
motivation, experience and results. Two Hungarian and one Romanian coach were appointed for
the project.
3. Training camp and participation in the Senior World Championships and
Olympic Qualification in Szeged/ HUN 05.08-25.08 2019
Venue: Olympic / National Regatta Course, Szeged

Federation, as well as the NELO and PLASTEX boat producer companies. The financial expenses
were provided by HUN NF, the logistical support by the ICF and the boats were supplied by the
aforementioned companies (List of participants in Annex 4).
In addition to the support of the Canoe Sprint athletes, the project included the support of the
Paracanoe as well (Annex 5).
From the ICF side Csaba Szanto was responsible for the organisation of the reported programme,

Re: Development of Canoeing and Kayaking in Dominica
Dear Mr. Andras:
Pleasant good afternoon to you. The Dominica Canoeing and Kayaking Association was very pleased
with the development of Mr. Bram Sanderson in this very short stint with your Federation. The net gains
resulted in many young men and children starting kayaking as one of their new sports. In the light of
this new development we are therefore requesting that if you are hosting any training sessions that may
be funded by ICF we would be more than happy to send our athletes.
Last Mr. Sanderson spoke very highly of your hospitality and for that we were extremely grateful.
Regards
