Inauguration ceremony of event started on September 28, 2018 at 9:30 AM with prayer and
deep pragatya. Dr. S. V. Vaishnav, Founder Principal, ADIT graced ceremony as President of
function, he inspired participants with his motivational words and energetic approach. Mr.
Farid Khan, Senior Advisor, IEEE Smart Village, Chief Guest of the function motivated
participants with his enlightening thoughts and explained how IEEE is advancing humanity
with technology. Dr. S. G. Patel, Hon. Secretary, Charutar Vidya Mandal gave his blessings to
all students and encouraged them towards building their successful career. Dr. R. K. Jain,
Principal, ADIT and convenor of the event energized young budding engineers with his
inspiring words. Mr. Harshul Yagnik briefed about IEEE Student Branch, ADIT and schedule
of the event. Mr. Sarthak Shah gave vote of thanks. Off the dias dignitaries, Ruzan Khambatta,
Deepak Bhatt, Siddharth Rajhans, Vamsi Krishna, Ankur Borwankar, Vasdev Singh, head of
the departments and faculty members aggrandize the event with their valuable presence.

Mr. Siddharth Rajhans is Harvard educated Entrepreneur. He is a Silicon Valley technocrat,
TEDx and motivational speaker, and Pioneer of the Outreach Technology in India and the Asia
Pacific Region. SIddharth is currently involved in a host of entrepreneurial activities as a
mentor and a keynote speaker. He was employed with Apple as a Product Manager and is the
first Indian to have spoken at Apple keynote stage at World Wide Developers Conference 2016
in California where he launched his project “Everyone Can Code”.Siddharth is also a Social
Entrepreneur working towards the Digital India Program through his start-up Spacify Inc.
which is helping in providing free internet to rural villages of India.
He delivered a session on “Moonshot Innovations in Silicon Valley- Riding the Next Wave of
Disruption for Entrepreneurship”.

Ms. Ruzan Khambatta is the “Founder” of “Wajra o’ Force Empowerment foundation” that works towards making India free from the crime against women and empower them. Along with taking stand for women security, she is “Director” of N’wave Tech private limited and E Comm Opportunities private limited. Her company is creating applications using Augmented Reality. She is the one who wants to bring the innovation in the way how human works. She is a lady with creative mind and innovations in thoughts. She did her MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. Ms. Ruzan Khambatta delivered session on “The World of Doors and Beyond”.
Jyoti Sudhir is an Internationally Certified Personal Empowerment Life Coach, accredited and recognized by the Certified Coaches Alliances, Canada. She has impacted 1 million lives directly or indirectly through her trainings/coaching & as the owner of the Master Franchisee of Image Consulting Business Institute, Ahmedabad. She is also the Director & Co-founder of Invent India Innovations Pvt. Ltd., a global industrial design and development firm. She is currently the Chairperson for CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), Indian women’s network, Gujarat. Her entrepreneurial endeavors were recognized at the India International Centre with the Women Entrepreneur National Excellence Award 2016. She has also been featured amongst the top 30 Women Entrepreneurs in India (2018) to watch out for by THE CEO Magazine. She has done her Bachelors and Masters in Human Development from Lady Irwin College, New Delhi. She has done Diploma in Internationally Certified Life Coach (Personal Empowerment) from Certified Coaches Alliance CCA, Canada. Design thinking & innovation program, MIT. Ms. Jyoti Sudhir delivered session on “The Practice of Innovation”.
Vamsi Krishna is at the position of “Head of Academic Relations” at one of the start-up, “stuMagz” as well as “Team Lead” for webinar and online training for IEEE India Council. The stuMagz which is “Forbes 30 under 30 start-up” is a compelling idea for like-minded to collaborate among themselves and a platform to raise the voice of student to share their views. He stand to represent the skills of student from various colleges through the platform of stuMagz. Besides stuMagz, he has volunteered for various events. He was in Team lead for Content creation for SAC, Section Ambassador for IEEE Day, Regional Ambassador for IEEE Day, Secretary for Communications society at IEEE VBIT SB and the countless list. He has done his bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology. Mr. Vamsi Krishna J. discussed on “Life Journey with stuMags at Fireside Chat”.

Mr. Farid Khan, the current Senior Advisor of IEEE Smart Village USA's Asia operations that
aims towards bringing clean energy, education and enterprise to communities, leads the India-
wide initiative to reach 25 million beneficiaries with seed funding for entrepreneurship
initiatives. Start-up entrepreneur with a flair for new technologies. He is the core member of
advocacy team interfacing with IEEE focus groups, government and private initiatives on
renewable energy and education. National Geographic shot an hour-long documentary in
Ladakh "Power to the People" on the humanitarian work initiated by Farid Khan in India. He
possesses outstanding knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks of European &
Commonwealth countries. With highly skilled in change management & global business, he is
also a serial entrepreneur with a background in renewable energy, telecom, IT & real estate.
He is currently developing opportunities in renewable energy across South Asia and advises
the IEEE Smart Village Steering Committee on its global operations. He is an electrical
engineer and completed his masters from university of London in IT and Intellectual property
law.

Mr. Ankur Borwankar is an author, lawyer, speaker and entrepreneur. He is the founder and
chief editor of Indus Dictum, a censor-free publication of cutting-edge articles and insights
from the leading voices of India. He was Marketing Strategy consultant for social media
strategy at Edge 196. He has also been a columnist and feature writer for national news daily
Indian Express. He has published many articles till date. He has also been the Business
Development manager at Anduril Retail. He was the City Manager and Feature Writer for
Burrp and also has represented Burrp at local and national events, and authored several dozen
of articles for national publication. He has countless skills including ghostwriting, content
development, blog development, communications management, magazine articles, social
media articles and many more.

Mr. Avelo Roy started his first startup at age 19 when he was still a student at Illinois Institute
of Technology and built it to a million-dollar valuation by the age 22. He has built his business
in US. He has been working as a Managing Director at Kolkata Ventures, Managing Director
& CEO at Novelroot Internet Pvt. Ltd, Co-owner and Director at ECC Engineering Pvt. Ltd.
He is a great public speaker. He has been a tutor to audience at various renowned institutes. He
was invited to speak at White House panel for Entrepreneurship Education and also at TEDx.
He has served as a Board Member Acumen Dynamics (Chicago) and at Spring Ventures (Hong
Kong). Avelo Roy has won more than 14 business plans in US and Canada. He has been
featured in many international newspapers. He owns his accomplishment to a strong spiritual
foundation and strength of meaningful relationships.

Gitesh Patel is a Retired Colonel of Indian Army. He completed his graduation from National
Defense Academy and joined Indian Army in 1976. He is one of the few people who cleared
UPSC examination in first. He was a Gentleman Cadet at Indian Military Academy. He was
granted permanent commission as First Class Gazetted Officer on 7th June 1980. He served as
an instructor. He held various appointment in Brigade Headquarters, Divisional Headquarters
and NCC Headquarters. He commanded 124 SATA battery during operation PARAKRAM
from 2000-2003. He also took part in Operation Vijay. He retired after serving the country for
37 and half years. He holds post graduate diploma in Personal Management & Industrial
Relations, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Master Degree in Weapon Technology, University
of Pune. Mr. Gitesh Patel delivered session on “Indian Army – The Pride of Our Nation”.

John Benedict, a very proven volunteer for IEEE who spends a lot of time to serve as a
volunteer. He had participated/volunteers/organised more than 100 IEEE events in the past 4
years. Apart from the volunteer for IEEE, he also volunteers for various NGO’s. He is currently
handling many responsibilities as Vice President for Street cause Gold - an NGO to bridge the
gap between Intentions and actions, Social Media Coordinator for IEEE Region 10, Vice chair
for All IEEE Young Engineer’s Humanitarian Challenge, Executive committee member for
IEEE Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Activities, Section Ambassador for IEEE Xtreme
from last 3 years. Along with the positions and responsibilities, he is a tech savy person working
in Amazon and Kindle support who keeps ownself updated with the latest technology and
advancements.

Player”.

Deepak Bhatt is currently managing communication at the Indian Institute of Management
Ahmedabad (IIMA). With the expertise in various fields like media, publications, advertising,
client servicing, he was the Vice president of BW Business world magazine which is one of
the India’s leading business magazines. He was the Managing Partner at Global Management
which is one of the most renowned Strategic Consulting firms in India. He has also served as
Human Resources Officer. With such excellence he has been awarded by the awards of “Best
Employee of the month” at Business world group and “Leadership award in project
management” by CE worldwide.

Megha Ben is regional Student Ambassador at IEEE Computer Society. She is currently the
Secretary of student activities committee at IEEE Computer Society India council. She was the
Design team lead for IEEE WIE International leadership Summit 2017. She is WeTech
Qualcomm Global Scholars award winner and Program participant. She was the graphics
designer at IEEE CS Compute-IEEE CS India Council SAC newsletter. Her major projects
includes IOT based Data Logging System and Water Aliasing - Demonstration of Stroboscopic
Effect. She has received Certificate of Appreciation - Outstanding Performer of IEEE SB CET,
Excellence in Character Award, Kulapati K.M. Munshi Award in Mathematics.

Shriya Damani is the Co-founder of Water Quest Hydro Resources Management India Pvt.
Ltd. She is the Director of Global Healthcare Innovations. She is also the CEO and Director of
Skyquest Technology Consulting Pvt. Ltd. from last 12 years which is a Global Technology
Aggregator and Accelerator working in the areas of Agritch, Life sciences, Nanotechnology
and Cleantech. Currently, she is also the Director of Investigators Forum which is a kind of full
service Healthcare Research Organization. She has completed her masters in Biotechnology
from Pondicherry University.
