4) CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL VERIFY LOCATIONS OF ALL UTILITIES (TELEPHONE, DATA, GAS, ELECTRIC, SANITARY AND STORM SEWERS, ETC.) AT THE SITE BEFORE STARTING EXCAVATION OR CONSTRUCTION. THESE ITEMS SHALL BE MARKED AND PROTECTED.
5) CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL TAKE PRECAUTIONS NECESSARY TO PROTECT ADJACENT PROPERTY FROM DAMAGE RESULTING FROM CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS.
6) ASBESTOS CONTAINING BUILDING MATERIALS AND LEAD-BASED PAINT EXISTS WITHIN THE STRUCTURE. ASBESTOS AND LEAD-BASED PAINT INSPECTION REPORTS HAVE BEEN PREPARED FOR THE BUILDING AND ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE PROJECT MANUAL. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING THE REPORTS AND TO EITHER AVOID DISTURBING THE IDENTIFIED ASBESTOS AND LEAD-BASED PAINT OR ABATE/REMOVE THE ASBESTOS AND LEAD BASED PAINT AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE PROPOSED WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE REGULATIONS. SEE THE PROJECT MANUAL FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
7) CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT EXISTING FINISHES AND OTHER BUILDING COMPONENTS FROM DAMAGE. ANY SURFACES AND/OR COMPONENTS DAMAGED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS SHALL BE RETURNED TO PRE-PROJECT CONDITIONS AND/OR MADE TO MATCH ADJACENT MATERIALS. WHERE REQUIRED, A SURFACE MOUNTED ACCESS PANEL MAY BE USED TO CREATE ACCESS TO WALL AND CEILING CAVITIES TO FACILITATE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. SEE DETAIL SHEET FOR ACCESS PANEL INFORMATION.
8) CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A PRE-ENGINEERED SEISMIC PIPING SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR PROPOSED SANITARY REPLACEMENT SYSTEM WHERE REQUIRED BY ASCE 7-10. SEE DETAIL SHEET FOR SEISMIC SUPPORT SYSTEM INFORMATION.
9) OWNER WILL UTILIZE TEMPORARY STORAGE UNIT TO STORE MATERIALS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN STORAGE ROOMS G4, G5, G9, G11, AND G12 DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW ONE WEEK WITHIN THEIR CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE FOR THE OWNER TO TRANSFER MATERIALS TO THE TEMPORARY STORAGE UNIT AND ONE WEEK TO TRANSFER MATERIALS BACK TO THEIR RESPECTIVE STORAGE ROOMS. SEE SHEET G003 FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON TEMPORARY STORAGE.
10) ALL EXISTING PVC SANITARY PIPE MAY REMAIN.
11) EXISTING CAST IRON AND GALVANIZED SANITARY WASTE PIPING SHALL BE REPLACED AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS.
12) EXISTING SANITARY VENT PIPING TO REMAIN.
13) EXISTING DOMESTIC COLD AND HOT WATER SYSTEM TO BE REPLACED. DRAWINGS INDICATE PROPOSED REPLACEMENT SYSTEM. FOLLOWING INSTALLATION OF PROPOSED SYSTEM, EXISTING DOMESTIC COLD AND HOT WATER SYSTEM TO BE REMOVED IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
14) CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL WORK REQUIRED TO INSTALL THE PROPOSED PIPING SYSTEM INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL. AND/OR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM REMOVAL/REINSTALLATION. ANY OUTAGES OF BUILDING SYSTEMS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER AND APPROVED IN WRITING PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.

STORAGE UNIT GENERAL NOTES:
1) CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLYING A TEMPORARY STORAGE UNIT FOR OWNER'S USE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD.
2) CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLING AND REMOVING STORAGE UNIT.
3) CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING TEMPORARY POWER TO THE STORAGE UNIT FROM THE EXISTING BOAT SHED ELECTRICAL PANEL. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A 2 POLE, 40 AMP BREAKER IN EXISTING UNUSED PANEL BREAKER SPACE AND INSTALL TEMPORARY AERIAL CONDUCTORS TO FEED THE STORAGE UNIT.
3) TRANSFER OF STORED MATERIALS IN AND OUT OF THE STORAGE UNIT WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE OWNER.
4) STORAGE UNIT SHALL BE INSTALLED ON THE PROJECT SITE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO ANY ACTIVE WORK BY THE CONTRACTOR ON-SITE. STORAGE UNIT SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS AFTER THE COMPLETION AND APPROVAL OF ALL INTERIOR WORK ACTIVITIES.
5) MINIMUM STORAGE UNIT SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE:-14 GAUGE STEEL CONSTRUCTION-PLYWOOD OR PLANK FLOORING-WIND AND WATER TIGHT-8' WIDE X 40' LONG-LOCKABLE DOUBLE DOOR ACCESS ON END OF UNIT-LOCKABLE SINGLE DOOR PERSONNEL ACCESS DOOR ON SIDE OF UNIT-INTERIOR LIGHTING WITH SWITCH-HVAC SYSTEM CAPABLE OF MAINTAINING ENTIRE STORAGE UNIT BETWEEN 55F AND 80F UNDER ALL AMBIENT
CONDITIONS AT THE PROJECT SITE.-TOTAL ELECTRICAL DEMAND SHALL BE LESS THAN 40 AMPS AT 240V, SINGLE PHASE.
6) STORAGE UNIT SHALL BE INSTALLED LEVEL (FLOOR SLOPE LESS THAN 0.5% IN ALL DIRECTIONS) AND ON NOT LESS THAN 8" OF MoDOT TYPE 5 COMPACTED AGGREGATE. COMPACTED AGGREGATE PATHWAYS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO ALL CONTAINER ACCESS POINTS. EXISTING VEGETATION SHALL BE STRIPPED AND GEOTEXTILE FABRIC INSTALLED UNDER EXTENTS OF PROPOSED AGGREGATE BASE.
7) TEMPORARY AGGREGATE AND GEOTEXTILE FABRIC SHALL BE REMOVED FOLLOWING CONTAINER REMOVAL AND ALL DISTURBED AREAS SEEDED WITH 30% BLACKWATCH 2 TURF-TYPE TALL FESCUE, 30% AVENGER TURF-TYPE TALL FESCUE, 30% SPEEDWAY TALL FESCUE, AND 10% TETRADARK PERENNIAL RYEGRASS.
