I Samuel 8

Deuteronomy 4:32-40

The Book of First Samuel heads what some call the “three double Books of the Old Testament” – I and II Samuel, I and II Kings, I and II Chronicles. These three double books form the record of the rise and fall of the Israelite monarchy.

I and II Samuel was divided into two parts by the translators of the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament).
