1. Use a “straight through” Ethernet cable to connect the 10/100BaseTport to a switch or hub.

2. Use a null modem (“crossover”) cable to connect the 10/100BaseTport directly to a computer.

3. Use a “straight through” Ethernet cable and the appropriate RJ45 toDB9 adapter to connect the RS232 Port A or Port B to a computer ormodem.

4. The RJ45 connector bodies on IPm products are metallic and areconnected to the Chassis GND terminal. Therefore, shielded cablesmay be used to provide further protection. To prevent ground loops,the cable shield should be tied to the metal connector body at one endof the cable only.

There is a Sink/Source jumper setting inside the base of the combination I/O module. The default factory setting is:“Sourcing (jumper to -)”, which is appropriate for most situations in which a positive voltage is applied to an input toindicate an “ON” condition. Select “Sinking (jumper to +)” for “ON” inputs corresponding to ground closures thatrequire a positive reference as an opposing return connection. The REMVue®–– 550000 provides on-line, in-cylinder compressordiagnostics for reciprocating machinery applications in any industry.

This unit incorporates the diagnostic technologies to continuouslymeasure phased cylinder pressure. All data is accumulated over anhourly window, averaged and stored to non-volatile memory. Analysisof this data supplies information regarding the health of the machine.Advanced parameter calculations and data reduction activities enabletrending and smart alarms for machine diagnostic and predictivepurposes.

Communication is done through the serial port to the REMVue®–– 550000base controller. All data available to the REMVue®–– 550000 unit can bereported to a remote control center for data logging, trending andanalysis.

Enables compression optimization by measuring:phased, in-cylinder pressures for analysis of compressor cylinder health and performance;suction pressure, suction temperature and discharge temperature for calculations such asefficiencies, horsepower, throughput, rod load and rod reversal, etc.
