� 2 Had kiosks with laptops

� 2 had special people assigned only to explian the 3G

� Most stores had an average of 3 posters for 3G

� When asked what is 3G the general answer was that it is high speed internet at themax speed of 21.mbps

� Video calling not launched yet due to government issues and security reasons

� The staff does not have much idea regarding the application and features of 3G� Every store had different tariff plans

� No leaflets or brochures avaliable

� Most stores only talk about broadband (Netconnect) not mobile 3G

� U need to boy a reliance GSM sim card to activate 3G

� The connection gets activated within a day and internet surfing needs to be activatedseparately

� Sim card avaiable that can be used in the dongle as well as mobile phones for 3g� Network and reach is good as per the customer care with 3G

� No romaning charges Reliance 3G can be used any where in india

� no demonstration given on how 3G works on mobile only laptop in 2 stores showedhigh speed video buffering

� They also explained which handset witll enable higher speed



Airtel

� Visited 5 Airtel stores

� 2 were shut down

� Only one from the other 3 had a spearate kiosk set up to demonstrate 3G

� With laptop and speakers playing their advertisment and new tune

� The person gave a complete presentation like demonstration of the uses of 3G

� Even gave demonstration for video calling

� Showed videos buffering at high speed

� They do not have a tariff plan set up

� No idea when 3G will be launched

� Will launch 3G mobile and broadband at the same time

� When asked what is 3G ws told 3G is a brand new experince where normal 2G services areenhanced with better and faster data surfing and many more application

� The maximum speed of 21mbps can be surfed

� Showed which handset has how much speed capacity

� Normal speed on phone is 256 kbps but with 3G min speed will be 3mbps and min 21mbps

� Can surf as well as talk on the mobile at the same time it does not interrupt either

� Can download 3 mb song in 3 seconds

� Can watch Live TV and get video news alerts on 3G mobile

� No leaflets as it in not launched yet

� The store had a few posters of Airltel 3G
