Symbiosis• Symbiosis is a close ecological
relationship between the individuals of two (or more) different species.
Mutualism • Both species benefit
– Flowers and bees – Pilot fish and sharks
Parasitism
• One species benefits, the other is harmed– Tapeworm and human– Fleas and dogs
Commensalism
• One species benefits, the other is unaffected – Whales and barnacles– Clown fish and sea anemone
