“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus”
(1 Thess. 5:16–18)
“Make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph. 5:19–20)
And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from
the Spirit, singing to God
with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word
or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to
God the Father through him (Col. 3:15–17)
GRATITUDE FLOWS FROM GODS PRESENCE
“Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives
all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and
compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things.”
"Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from
above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.“ James 1:16-18
GRATITUDE GROWS IN HUMILITY
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile.” Romans
1:21
Philippians 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15
so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of
God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
16 as you hold firmly to the word of life.
GRATITUDE LEADS TO A LIFE OF BLESSING
Deuteronomy 6:4–5 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the
LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your strength”
