To aid you in getting the perfect gear to suit your passions, the store is laid out in a cohesive and orderly manner. Its design allows you to find

what you need. The store is organized, because nature is not.

Having a strong community is one of our greatest values at REI. At the heart of the store is the community center, inviting you to become a part of the REI family. It is a place to relax, read guides and trade stories with

others. You can seek advice from the staff at the community desk to find local trails, or sign up for an REI excursion. Here you will find people just like you, with active lifestyles and similar passions. The community

space allows you to come as you are and be understood and accepted.

HARMONIOUS CONNECTIONS

The design of the store does not try to recreate the outdoor world, but instead expresses the relationship we have with nature. Through minimalism and harmonious connections, the store eloquently

explores how we feel about nature and evokes the sense of content you feel when doing what you love in the great outdoors.

NATURAL ELEMENTS

The birch wood hall and ceiling guides you through the store. The shops have a rose wood floor to create distinction, and the ceiling

drops to create intimacy. The camp store, located a few steps up, is a focal point.

BENEATH THE TREES

The ceiling of the camp store consist of extruding wood beams. They begin at the columns and gradually raise towards the center of the

store. With the raised floor and the lowered ceiling, it evokes the feel-ing of being beneath a canopy.
