Reef Catchments,,
with support from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program have funded
17 conservation expeditions like this across six islands
within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area since
2015 - now we think that’s something to celebrate!
The purpose of these trips is to remove weeds and marine debris from high ecological value environments, and to educate the community about the threats that these ecosystems are facing. By doing this work, we protect our island ecosystems for many species, including turtles and shorebirds.
If you are interested in joining Wild Mob on one of their
trips, please go to:

Thank you Wild Mob and Reef Catchments for giving me the opportunity to discover one of our Islands while helping to restore the native environment.”
