The BBFC are a big part of the media industry because they restrict certain films for a reason so a child does not watch a really violent film which could cause them distress. The BBFC are also very reliable on what they do because they work as a independent and self financing company, that do not work for profit, the BBFC is also told to be one of the best labelling systems in the UK.

The laws that the BBFC use is VRA, or the Criminal Procedure. With this evidence it can be used as stand alone evidence so no-one from BBFC has to attend court. This is a good way of doing things in the media industry because it give’s the BBFC an advantage in court because they keep there evidence recorded. Another law they could use is the obscene publication act, this website is managed by the national archives, this website also publishes all UK legislation.Law Enforcement link: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/industry-services/law-enforcementthe obscene publications act link: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/
