CHOICES or CHALLENGES
The Church Council and Congregation are wrestling with the challenge of property issues at the moment. Will we be challenged by the resulting decision or do we have a choice? There are several differing opinions of which choice we should make. Will we make the right choice?, that is the challenge.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 leaves one with the feeling that nothing one can ever do will actually make any difference, so you may as well just roll with the punches and accept things the way they are. Is that Christian?
Jesus certainly made a difference to the lives of many people. In challenging us to follow him, Jesus surely expects us to contribute to faith, hope and love in our world. We do many good things as Christ-followers, but God’s vision for us is to be a missional church, whose’ primary ministry focus is reaching outward, in mission with God, bringing Christ’s love alive in the community and beyond. Let this be our challenge for the future. Church Council
