Finding the stem

Step 2

The Stem

You will take the infinitive of the verb (with the –er)

Then you drop the –er ending which leaves you with the stem of the verb.

Ex. Danser = to dance

The infinitive of the verb is DansYou will remove the –er to get the stem

Add your endings to the stem

Step 3
