• When you are done reading, debrief the articles with your new partner• Write one significant idea from each article on

the given paper and post your ideas on the wall indicated on either side of the room.

• Expert Groups:• Read the article you have been given• As you read, take notes of three text based ideas worth

discussing on the “Here’s What!” section or your recording sheet

• Gather together as an Expert Group, share text based ideas and decide on consensus points

• Time: 20 minutes

Jigsaw Groups

• There is a colored dot on your article• Find others with the same color• Each member of your new group is an expert of one of

the eight articles• Beginning with Article 1, each member of the Jigsaw

Group shares highlights from their respective articles and the group discusses the instructional implications. • Record the instructional implications on the “So What?”

section of your recording sheet.

this standard. What is each grade level responsibility for this standard?
