REF120Absorption Refrigeration Training Plant

An Absorption Refrigeration Training Plant for study of the absorption refrigeration cycle.

Students observe the operation of heating and vaporizing of ammonia by either a gas burner or electrical heating element. The ammonia vapour then condenses in the evaporator where it evaporates at low temperature.

The process then includes the ammonia vapour and water from the generator being combined in the absorber and closing the generation cycle.
