1 REFLECTORS Reflectors influence to luminary efficiency
Jul 13, 2015
2
IntroductionThis presentation describes how big is influence of reflector to the efficiency of luminaries even if these luminaries are of the same power and are equipped with the same type of lamps and
are used in identical applications.

All measurements were made using the same room and mounting parameters incl. number
of luminaries and distance between them.
Simulations were made using DIALux v. 4.11 and ELUMDAT files provided from the
manufacturers.

Conclusion
• Reflector construction has an essential influence into lighting efficiency
• For different heights different types of luminaries must be chosen
• Light levels can differ up to 2 times if to use same power but different type fittings
