• Task: 1-160 IN conducts an battalion-

wide assessment of Soldiers interested

in attending Air Assault school.

• Purpose: Develop an order of merit list

(OML) from which to select Soldiers for

school input when slots become

available.

• 12-mile Tactical Foot March (120 pts)– -1 point every minute after 3 hours

– 15 minute per mile standard

– 35 lbs rucksack

– No weapon

• Upper-Body Strength (20 pts)– 1 point per repetition

– 2 sets of 5x pull-ups followed by 5x close hand/diamond push-ups

• Hand & Arm Signals (10 pts)– 1 point per correct signal (10 of 16)

– Moving and landing the aircraft (10 signals)

– Sling load (6 signals)

• Rope Skills (5 pts)– 1 point per properly identified knot

– Knot identification (square and overhand)

– -1 point per re-attempt

– Rappel seat (Swiss Seat within 90 seconds)
