WATERSHED STEWARDSHIP
What is Stewardship?
… careful and responsible management
of natural resources to one's care…
…..benefit of the general community
…acceptance of responsibility…to
maintain long-term protection and
sustainability of the environment
WATERSHED STEWARDSHIP
A watershed is the area of land where all of the water drains off going into the same stream, lake or other water body.
We all live in a Watershed & the actions
We take affect our downstream rivers, lakes and estuaries.
The main components of the human
cardiovascular system are the heart, blood, and blood arteries, vessels,
veins.
CARDIOVASCULAR
CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
• It is responsible for carrying oxygen and vital nutrients to all parts of the body and removes harmful waste products from tissues.
The Muscular System
• The muscular system makes up nearly half the weight of the human body
• Muscles provide the forces that enable the body to move. Muscles stretch across joints to link one bone with another and work in groups to respond to nerve impulses.
SKELETON• The skeleton provides the
framework which supports the body and maintains its shape.
• Movement is powered by skeletal muscles which are attached at various sites on bones.
• Muscles, bones, and joints provide the principal mechanics for movement, all coordinated by the nervous system.
NERVOUS SYSTEM
• Synaptic transmission helps a neuron communicate with other neurons, such as a muscle cell, at a synapse. The synapse is the contact point at which neurons communicate with one another.
NERVOUS SYSTEM
• Gunther von Hagens' often-controversial "Body Worlds and the Mirror of Time" exhibition shows us just how many nerves cover the face and head of a human.
