Hello Roberts Families! As we come to the end of October, the Upper Merion Area School District plans to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. This is an annual event where schools in our district and across the nation focus on educating children to make smart, safe, healthy choices, battle peer pressure and say no to drugs and alcohol. Monday October 26 There Are a “Minion” Better Things To Do Than Drugs! Wear RED to support Red Ribbon Week or dress like a minion! Students will attend an assembly featuring the high school drama club. They will also write a hobby that they like to do on a paper minion for the school bulletin board. Tuesday October 27 Helping Others is Better To Do Than Drugs! Wear RED and bring $1 or a requested item to donate to Upper Merion Emergency Aid. All students who doante will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Red Ribbon Week prize! **See the back of this flyer for donation ideas! Wednesday October 28 Exercise is Better To Do Than Drugs! Wear sports wear to support the healthy choice of exercise! All grade levels will have extra recess or go noodle time! Thursday October 29 Reading and Dreaming About Your Future is Better To Do Than Drugs! Wear pajamas and bring your favorite book for a schoolwide STOP, DROP and READ! Friday October 30 Having Fun is Better To Do Than Drugs! Bring your Halloween costume for the school parade and parties! Red Ribbon Week 2015 “I’ve Got Better Things To Do Than Drugs!”
