How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and

evaluation stages

Group 087

• We used YouTube to research thriller teaser trailers. We were looking at the kinds of shots that we would need to include in our own film. We mainly looked at the film ‘Hitman’ as our source of research.

• We used IMDB and Pearl & Dean for further research on our genre. The website was good for audience research and gave us an idea of the age range and gender our target audience should be.

Technology used to film• We used a high

tech camera called the SLR 550 for high quality footage. We also used the tri-pod to give the camera more balance and lighting for better effect.

• To edit and fit our teaser trailer in to place we used final cut express.

• We also used soundtrack to create our music.

• To create our ancillary pieces we had to use both Photoshop and illustrator.

• We used the cartoon effect in Photoshop for our magazine to create a different effect to our poster, which had more of a smoky look to it.

Facebook page as we thought it would be a good way to promote our teaser trailer and through the research we carried out, social networking was an effective way to get our target audience.

On this website we were able to have a record of our research and planning.
