This approval is subject to the terms and conditions and other provisions as laid down inthe guidelines of the scheme which are available on UGC website. ln addition to this, the lnstituteshould (i) ensure that all the programmes essentially have component of computer proficiency,language proficiency and management skills along with core skills as per QP and NOS (ii) enrollfor Skill Development Monitoring System (SDMS) and update the requisite information from timeto time (iii) fill up the non-teaching positions approved under the scheme purely on contractbasis and as per the minimum requirement for the programmes (iv) fill up the teaching positionsstrictly as per clause 13 of the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for the Appointmentof Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges And Measures for theMaintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010. (v) curriculum of the skill component of theprogramme is being developed by the concerned Sector Skill Councils. The lnstitution will adoptor adapt the curriculum in consolation with the industry partner. However, alignment of the skillcomponents of the curriculum with the National Occupation Standards developed by therespective Sector Skill Councils will be ensured. and (vi) monitoring/evaluation and updating ofthe curriculum will be done periodically in consultation with the concerned Sector Skill Counciland the industry partner keeping in view their requirements and changes in the NationalOccupation Standards.

I Necessary grants for starting the courses will be released by UGC shortly. ln the' meanwhile, you are requested to proceed further towards starting the courses from the academic

session 2015-16 itself. A copy of the report of the Expert Committee is also enclosed for yourperusal and record. Observations/Suggestions of the committee may be kept in mind whileimplementing the program.

ln case your institution is already approved either under the scheme of CommunityColleges or B.Voc. Program or both, these schemes will get subsumed under the DDUKAUSHAL KENDRA and, as provided under Para 10.2 of the guidelines for DDU KAUSHALKENDRA, the expenditure incurred under any of the schemes referred to above, will be met outof the grants to be released to the DDU KAUSHAL KENDRA.
