Calm the Nervous System, Reduce Stress, Support Adrenals
Adaptogenic Herbs – strengthen the body overall and increase ability to handle stress.
– Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera) – used for chronic fatigue and anxiety,
rejuvenating, and boosts immunity. For someone suffering from insomnia,
reproductive issues, or exhaustion, Ashwaganda may be a great herb. If there
is a sensitivity to nightshades, Ashwaganda would NOT be the right herb, use
Schisandra or ginseng.
– Ginseng (Panax ginseng, Panax quinqeufolius, Eleutherococcus
senticosus) – panax comes from the Greek word panacea, or cure-all.
Ginseng improves the body’s resistance to environmental stressors. Ginseng
boosts immunity and enhances both physical and mental performance.
– Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – acts much like cortisol and benefits adrenal
weakness. Demulcent, anti-inflammatory, and antihepatotoxic (supports liver
health)

Support Liver for Optimized Thyroid Health
Conversion of thyroid hormone – T4 needs to be
converted to T3 to be effective and do it’s work in
the body. The majority of this conversion happens
in the liver (kidneys and muscles, too).
Metabolizes hormones – liver breaks down and metabolizes hormones once they have done their
work. If the breakdown does NOT occur,
hormones accumulate and cause imbalances.
