greater than expected to initiate the turning of the steering

out of lane, which increases the possibility of a crash with other
traffic or of a drive off the road.

SubjectOn eligible units with modifications designed and
implemented by Beaudry Motors and BMS Inc, the addition of a
auxiliary battery and charging relay could cause an electrical
overload on the charging circuit. Kawasaki has received reports of
a blown main fuse causing the engine to lose power or shut down.
Unexpected loss of power or engine shut down can create the
potential for a crash resulting in injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:Kawasaki has begun a two stage repair

SubjectOn eligible units, fuel can leak between the fuel tank
and fuel tap. Fuel leakage in the presents of a spark could cause a
fire resulting in injury or death.

tap O ring.

SubjectOn eligible units, the camshaft sprocket bolts may loosen
and back out causing the engine to lock up, this could create the
potential for an accident resulting in injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:Kawasaki has initiated a recall campaign to
repair all eligible units. By replacing the camshaft sprocket bolts
and the camshaft sprocket cover O-ring.

SubjectOn eligible units, a foreign object such as, but not
limited to, a stick could be deflected by a front tire into the
left or right floorboard. This could result in the object breaking

the vehicle and creating the potential for an accident.
Initiate Campaign:Kawasaki has initiated a recall campaign to
repair all eligible units. By installing floorboard guards and
replacing damaged unserviceable floorboards if the vehicle exhibits

determine if it is defective. If it is defective, replace the
defective parts.

MODEL:2005 AND 2006 GSX-R1000 MOTORCYCLESTITLE:Frame
Reinforcement Brace Installation/Frame
SubjectSuzuki has received reports of cracking or breakage of
the motorcycle frame in certain extreme situations where unusually
high stress is placed on the frame, such as collisions involving
the front wheel/fork assembly.
Suzuki has also received reports of cracking or breakage of the
frame behind and below the steering neck when the motorcycle is
subjected to repeated hard landings from hazardous maneuvers such
as extreme or extended wheelies or other stunts. Suzuki believes
that this type of driving activity is reckless - and illegal when
performed on a public roadway - and does not condone it. If the
frame becomes broken during this type of extreme use, a crash could
occur.
Initiate Campaign: Dealers will inspect the relevant area of the
frame for cracks. If no cracks are found, a frame reinforcement
brace will be attached to the frame using bolts and epoxy adhesive.
The brace is aluminum and very lightweight (less than 2 pounds). It
is very slender and fits underneath the top spar of the frame
behind and below the steering neck. The appearance, performance and
handling of the motorcycle remain unchanged with the reinforcement
brace installed. Should cracks be found during the inspection, the
frame will be replaced with a new frame that has the reinforcement
brace installed.

Adjuster
SubjectOn affected vehicles, just the motorcycle rider does not
upshift the transmission correctly, a missed shift can occur,
resulting in a neutral condition and a high engine speed. If the
rider tries to recover from the shift by and shifting without
disengaging the clutch, a very large torque is applied to the drive
sprocket. This will cause the upper part of the drive chain to
immediately experience very high tension, which can result in the
left side of the rear axle shaft moving forward and damaging the
left side drive chain adjuster, which may result in the chain
derailing from the sprocket. If the drive chain comes off the
sprockets while the motorcycle is being operated, engine power will
not be transmitted to the rear wheel. This may result in loss of
control the motorcycle, and can increase the risk of a
crash.Initiate Campaign:install a replacement chain adjuster and
the replacement axle nut.

SwitchSubjectThe main ignition switchs wire connection could
overheat due to electrical resistance, becoming hot enough to melt
the solder connecting the wire to the main switch. The wire could
come off the switch if the solder melts, preventing the electrical
system from functioning, If this occurs while the motorcycle is
being ridden, the engine would stall and be impossible to restart
which could result in an accident with injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a
Factory Modification Campaign. Affected motorcycles must have the
main switch replaced with a new one designed to prevent
overheating.

affected ATVs, the steering column support assembly can crack near
the mounting area under certain riding conditions due to

aluminum steering column support with a steal one that has
increased strength.

motorcycles, there could be excessive electrical resistance in the
ground wire for the accelerator position sensor (APS) and the
throttle position sensor (TPS) due to insufficient crimped
connections. This excessive resistance can cause incorrect signal
to be sent to the engine control unit (ECU) which could lead to
unstable engine idle speed and or keep the idle speed from falling
below 3000 RPM when the throttle is released which could cause loss

will have an additional sub-lead wire installed that bypasses the

units, there is the possibility that the wiring harness is routed
to close to the rear exhaust area allowing the wiring harness to
contact the rear exhaust. If this happens, heat from the exhaust

stalling and the possibility of a crash with injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a
Factory Modification Campaign. Affected units must have two
retaining bands installed to hold the wiring harness away from the
rear exhaust area.

units, due to improper adhesion of the brake shoe lining, the
lining may separate from the brake shoe. If this happens, the brake

headlight wire to increase its length.

MODEL:2015 FZ07TITLE:Battery Cable SubjectIn affected units the
positive battery cable could be pinched between the seat base and
the seat bracket due to an appropriate length of the battery cable.
If this happens the positive cable may be chafed over time
resulting in a short possibly resulting in a fire. Which could
result in the possibility of a crash with injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a
Factory Modification Campaign. Affected units must have the
positive battery cable and seat bracket replaced with new ones of a
different design.

MODEL:2014 YZFR6TITLE:Aluminum Wheel Hardness
SubjectIn affected units, the middle in the front and rear
wheels does not meet required hardness specifications due to a
manufacturing error. Therefore the wheel bearing could move from
its original position, allowing the wheel to loosen, and also wheel
deformation could allow air to leak past the tire. This could
result in a possibility of a crash with injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a
Factory Modification Campaign. Affected units will have the wheel
assembly replaced.

MODEL:2015 YZ250FTITLE:Gear and Balancer Shafts SubjectIn
affected units the engines balancer weight gear and balancer shaft
gear were made of materials that did not meet specifications. As a
result the gears could break during operation. This could result in

correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification
Campaign. Affected units will have the gear and balancer shafts
replaced.

MODEL:2013-2015 XT250TITLE:GAIS Pipe and Hose Failure SubjectIn
affected units the air induction system hose can melt after
prolonged periods of high rpm operation because it was not
manufactured with the proper temperature resistance. If the air
induction hose fails, hot exhaust gases leak from the hose could
then meld the fuel injection sub-wiring harness insulation, causing
the wiring to short. If this happens the fuel injection system
could malfunction, which could result in a possibility of a crash
with injury or death.Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect,
Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Affected
units will have the hose replaced.

MODEL:2015 YXC700 VIKING IVTITLE:Rear Wheel Nuts SubjectIn
affected units the rear wheel nuts can potentially loosen over time
due to an incorrect taper specification. A wheel could loosen and
wobble or fall off, This could result in the possibility of a crash
with injury or death.Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect,
Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Affected
units will have the rear steel wheels replaced.

MODEL:2015 FJO9, FZ09, FZ6RF, XTX12, YZFR6TITLE:Shift Cam
Segment Stopper SubjectIn affected units the shift cam segment
stopper on the transmission shift shaft was incorrectly
manufactured with a sharp edge on the inside of its bend. As a
result, these stopper may crack at this sharp edge after continued
operation due to fatigue. Worst case scenario the stopper may
break, possibly preventing the transmission from shifting properly.
If this happened it could result in the possibility of a crash with
injury or death.Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is
initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Affected units will
have the shift shaft assembly replaced.

SubjectIn affected units the rear shock absorber is defective
potentially causing handling issues. This could result in a
possibility of a crash with injury or death.
Initiate Campaign:To correct this defect, Yamaha is initiating a

shock absorber replaced.
