•What are the 5W’s?


Some writers use facts & details to tell about a person, place, or thing.


Writers can use facts & details to tell about the order in which things happen.


What are some clue words that tell order?


Writers also use facts & details to tell how to do something.


Facts & details make a passage interesting.


Without facts and details, writing would be pretty boring.

Fact & detail questions are the easiest ones to answer because they are directly stated in the text.


A good tip is to scan the passage for keywords in multiple choice questions.
