SUPERSTARS like Michael Jordan, Ka-reem Abdul-Jabbar, Alonzo Mourn-ing, Lafayette “Fat” Lever, Bob Elliot,

and George “Iceman” Gervin helped make the game of basketball what it is today. These icons teamed up with fellow former professional basketball players as part of the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA). In 1992, the original founders: David DeBusschere, Oscar Rob-ertson, Dave Cowens, Archie Clark and Dave Bing had a vision and brought this elite fellowship together and created the most powerful professional retired play-ers association. The NBRPA, partnering with Sports Media Marketing LLC, created Rebound Magazine, the NBA Approved “Official Magazine of the NBRPA”.

Now enter the newest members, the WNBA. Teresa Weatherspoon, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, Dawn Staley, Sheryl Swoops, Nikki McCray, Carla McGhee and Penny Toler make up the inaugural class of former WNBA players as members of the NBRPA.
