CLIENT: ODWALLA FRUIT JUICEA simple concept of nature + science led me in the direction to the genetic origins of Odwalla. Using substitutions, fruit was inserted

into scientific molecular compounds to exemplify what the juice was composed of.

CLIENT: THE GAY RODEOWe tried to focus on the the aspect of “cowboy first, gay second,” when concepting for this

campaign in order to accurately portray the true character of our target audientce. A subtle twist with the replacement of a hand or arm suggests their character without being overly

obvious orflashy.

CLIENT: FROZEN ARKA concept based on the preservation of animal DNA. The DNA is collected

from animals that are about to become extinct, which then allows scientists to clone the animals in the future. The first animal DNA to be saved was a deer.

CLIENT: TOURISM IN CAMBODIAAs we researched Cambodia, we discovered that it’s one of the oldest places you can tour through while

still maintaining tangible access to its natural surroundings. Opposed to being locked behind a glass case or a series of pictures frames, we decided that Cambodia itself is like a “living museum.”

GUERRILLA CAMPAIGNArt Directors: Becca Hutt, Cassie Kehl, Cutris PeterschmidtCopy Writers: Becca Hutt and Cassie KehlPhotographer: Adam Fish

GOAL: To target smokers on the University of North Texas Campus and get them to put their cigarette butts in the ashtray. Our goal was to be sensitive to smokers and not publicly attack them for smoking, yet bring awareness to the issue in a humerous way that best communicated a need for change.

SOLUTION: Use of shock to gain attention of smokers by making life sized cardboad cut–outs of students revealing their butts. On the front are quick, to–the–point headlines about picking up cigarette butts, and on the back are facts on cigarette waste and its effect on the environment.

EXECUTION: The cut-outs were placed near ashtrays in the most heavily populated areas on campus. This was determined by surveying the University of North Texas prior to our installation.

OUR RESULTS

After installing our guerrilla campaign, the student and administrative reactions started to buzz around the North Texas Campus. The College of

Visual Arts administratives encouraged us to keep our installation up for a longer period of time due to the clear reinforcement it advocated, and the

positive behavior it had started.

We feel the overall success of our campaign has changed the actions of smokers who flick their cigarette butts on the ground.
