Introduction

The OREA REALTOR® Value campaign met with great success following its Fall 2013 launch. Based on that success OREA has launched a new, more integrated campaign, focused again on the vital role REALTORS® have as professional advisors who help clients make informed real estate decisions.

Another successful aspect of the previous campaign was the introduction of the Advertising Toolbox, which contained a broad array of ready-to-use ad materials. A number of Ontario boards and associations used the ads to promote their local REALTORS®, so OREA has expanded the current Toolbox to include not only traditional ad materials, but also social media, online display ads and online video.

All the materials in the Toolbox use the core OREA brand messaging: REALTORS® we do the homeworkTM. When Ontario boards and associations run these ads in local markets, the provincial message and the local message reinforce each other, that REALTORS® are experts that provide value.

We hope this expanded Toolbox provides the resources you need to keep the Ontario REALTOR® message in the public eye. However, if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for in this Toolbox, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Many people seek professional advice when they’re faced with big life decisions, such as making a substantial investment or planning for retirement. The new campaign taps into this mindset, reminding viewers that seeking the advice of a professional is just as important when it comes to two other big life decisions—the buying or selling of one’s home.

As technology evolves, increasingly the value that a REALTOR® provides is being questioned and potential clients may consider managing the process themselves. OREA has created the REALTOR®’s Eye View video ads to address this head on. A client only sees a small portion of what a REALTOR®

does. The “homework” takes place when you can’t see it. The knowledge that a REALTOR® has on everything from local market conditions, the best questions to ask when buying or the most cost-effective way to boost your selling price can mean the difference between getting what you want and making a mistake.

What you see your REALTOR® doing is only the tip of the iceberg. Years of experience leads to a very practiced eye.

Customizing OREA Campaign Materials

The OREA ad toolbox contains a large selection of print, broadcast, out-of-home,

digital and social media ad examples, all of which can have your board logo and

contact information incorporated.

New this year is that there will be no charge for having your board information

inserted into a maximum of 2 of the print or digital ad templates shown in

this toolbox.

We hope that this new ’no cost’ feature will encourage more boards to take

advantage and use the materials to get the REALTOR® value message out to

more people in your community.

For additional customization of advertising, including changes to copy or more

than 4 ads a fee will apply. For instance, a printed newspaper ad with typeset,

customized copy, re-sizing and insertion of your member board’s logo and contact

information into one of the ads shown in the toolbox, and provide you with a

print-ready PDF the cost will be $150-$300 plus HST.
