How to use this catalog:In response to your needs and budgets, Real Good Toys has created the widest variety of easy-to-build miniature houses available while making it simple for you to get exactly what you want.

Please ask yourself the questions below to help you choose your miniature dreamhouse.

1) What style of house do I want? (Colonial, Farmhouse, Victorian, Federal, Bungalow, Townhouse, Cottage, Plantation, Contemporary, Log Cabin, Shoppe, etc.)

2) What size or scale dollhouse am I looking for? Most of our prooducts are scaled 1”=1 foot but we also offer some 1/2”=1 foot and Playscale® for fashion dolls (The dollhouse dimensions are listed next to each model number).

3) Should I purchase a front-opening or rear opening dollhouse?

4) Many of our kits offer you a choice of exterior wall finishes. Which wall finish do I want? (see the wall finish definitions below)

5) How does this fit my budget? (The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices* (MSRP) are listed next to each model number).

Definitions of Exterior Wall Finishes:Milled: The 3/8” Clapboard profile is milled into the surface of the exterior walls. This is the easiest and quickest way to own a house with clapboard siding, because it’s built-in and ready to paint.

Note: Milled kits come in two versions: “MP” Milled cabinet grade Plywood “MM” Milled cabinet grade MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)

When there is a choice between a “MP” or “MM” finish, the only difference between the two kits is the material of the exterior walls, everything else in the kit stays the same except that the interior walls in all MP kits are also made of plywood.

Smooth Plywood: “SP” The exterior walls are smooth (no siding or textured profile). “SP” kits include everything you see in the picture except: Clapboard Siding, Edge Trim and Roof Shingles.

Scored: The exterior walls have a 3/4” spaced, novelty siding profile milled into the walls. The exterior finish is ready to-paint. “Scored” kits include everything you see in the picture.

Stucco: The exterior walls are smooth. “Stucco” kits include a formulated stucco mix. When you combine the stucco mix with your choice of paint it creates a textured exterior finish.

Brick: “B” The exterior wall(s) are pre-finished. They have painted wooden brick attached to them, as shown in the specific photographs on pages 9 & 18.

Log: Log Siding and trim for these kits are supplied in lengths and require cutting to finish as shown in the specific photographs on page 19.

Dollhouses are NOT all created equal! Die-cut Dollhouse Kits:

Some dollhouses are die-cut from very thin materials (usually less than 1/8” thick) with many parts arranged on one sheet. The parts are then punched out individually. Then the rough edges of all the pieces need to be sanded. Die-cut dollhouse kits are inexpensive to purchase and to produce as they require very little labor to manufacture.

Saw-cut Dollhouse Kits: Most of Real Good Toys dollhouse parts are hand crafted. The individual parts are made from mostly 3/8” and 1/4” thick materials that we cut, shape, groove, route and bevel utilizing standard woodworking machinery operated by our experienced crew. As a group, we have shared our working lives for a very long time. The average RGT employee has over 18 years experience. We are loyal, caring and value teamwork.

Ease of Assembly: RGT’s design team incorporates many features into our kits to ensure the project will be relatively easy to build. Obviously, the more detailed and complicated a dollhouse looks, the more time consuming the project will be … but we go out of our way to provide milled clapboard siding with a distinct and realistic profile, bevels that truly match up & smooth pine moldings that really fit. All of these features help with the successful completion of your dollhouse.

Details: RGT is the only dollhouse company that provides the extraordinary details included in our complete kits. RGT kits include everything you see in the finished photographs except the paint & glue.

Quality Control: Our quality control is second to none. We examine each part before it in goes in the box and protect the pieces by paying particular attention to the parts arrangement in the carton. We group them in ways that keep them safe during shipments and handling.

Support: RGT’s support staff efficiently offers technical support. They handle construction questions, requests for missing or damaged parts and are always ready to help in any way possible.
