EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER.We think the best way to learn something is by doing it. That’s why our curriculum and campus are full of opportunities where you can apply your knowledge and skills to make a difference.
→ Co-ops and internships: With GE Aviation and Emerson offices right on campus, a plethora of local businesses in Dayton and a Career Services office that will help you prepare for success, it’s no wonder we were named one of The Princeton Review’s “50 Colleges that Create Futures.”
→ Capstone courses: Every student in every major takes part in a capstone experience where you’ll apply what you’ve learned, demonstrate your skills and further your understanding of your chosen career path.
→ Research: Undergraduate students can dive right in to research opportunities with the University of Dayton Research Institute or our corporate partners. It’s why UD had $117.6 million in research sponsorship in 2016, and why we’re No. 1 among Catholic universities for sponsored engineering research and development.
→ Community involvement: In our Catholic, Marianist tradition, we’re called to learning, leadership, justice and community-building. Get involved and give back to the community through the Fitz Center for Leadership in Community, Campus Ministry or a host of other service programs.
