• Interprets Omens – Interprets Omens – –Animal and nature signs – wooly worms, color of sky, “red at night, sailor’s delight”

–Shape of clouds – messages in the sky


•Sorcerer – Sorcerer – –One who uses spells

–Chants, incantations

–Often used with potions

–Hebrew = “whisper or chant”


•11or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.


•Conjures spells –Conjures spells ––To unite, to have fellowship with a sorcerer

•Medium –Medium – –Counsulter (KJV)–To ask, to seek counsel, to seek advice


•Spiritist –Spiritist ––Wizard (KJV)–One who claims to know the future, a knowing one

•Calls up the dead –Calls up the dead – –Séance – communicate with departed spirits


•12For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you.

– Immoral, unclean

•Diviners –Diviners ––False prophets–Claim to know the future
