For her 75th birthday, all of my mother’s children gave her a watch. In the first row at the hour of each of her five children’s births, five rubies.

The second row was set with ten diamonds for each of her ten grandchildren and finally two beautiful diamonds for her great-grandchildren.

In all 17 stones and in one month an additional two shall be added and after that…
