• Council Subcommitteees
Strategy: advising Council on the overall strategic direction of RDA and the Foundation.
Sustainability and Funding: developing the overall business model for RDA and strategy for its implementation.
Finance: recommending to Council and monitoring policies and rules for sound financial practice of the RDA Foundation.
Engagement and Communications: tracking progress, evaluating, and reporting on the Engagement and Communications actions to Council, recommending modifications to the strategy as appropriate.
RDA Operations and Coordination: monitoring and advising on the overall operations and general organisational health of RDA.

Goal: Over the next 3 years, RDA will be a community that:
▪ Makes engagement easy
▪ Provides an on-going set of outputs that are recognized and adopted
▪ Is recognized as a venue of choice to improve research data interoperability
▪ Is served by an effective, agile, and sustainable organisation
RDA Europe, the European plug-in to RDA, is mandated to ensure that European political, research, industrial and digital infrastructure stakeholders are aware of, engaged with and actively involved in the global RDA activities.

• Europe trying to become more “international”
• EC to support RDA through 2020 and then move to a more operational support model. Proposal due March 2017.
• Much driven by European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative
• Australia trying to increase grass roots engagement
• funding solid at current level for next three years (I think)
• Engagement with other countries—Japan, UK, India, South Africa, China, Argentina
• OAB, Ops and Coordination Committee

• Clear, rotating responsibilities for communication channels and content creation

• Australia trying to coordinate Austral-Asian region
