RDA Timeline
• Now – October 1, 2010:– RDA testing group question and answer/familiarize with
RDA
• October 1 – December 31, 2010:– Formal RDA test
• January 2 – March 31, 2011:– Test assessment leading to a report of recommendations
• April – June 2011:– Decision making by LC, hopefully to be announced at
ALA Annual.

• Integrated, online, browser-based product
• Collection of cataloging-related documents and resources:– RDA– RDA Element Set View– Full text of AACR2– Other documents
Accessing RDA
• RDA Toolkit– access.rdatoolkit.org– Open access period (ends 8/31/10)
• Cataloger’s Desktop– Need to enter institutional username and
password in Cat Desktop settings– Just RDA, not Mappings, Workflows, etc.
