*Rayong

Rayong is a Thai province but I am from Banchang

District which is where I was born. Rayong borders both

Chonburi and Chanthaburi provinces as well as the the Gulf

of Thailand to the south.

Page 3: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

*Banchang are near both Sattahip and Pattaya and

There are famous for many things such as long

beaches, golf courses, seafood restaurants and temples.

*1.Nang Ram Beach (Nang Rum Beach / Hat

Nang Ram) -Sattahip

I like to spend time with my friends on the

beach in summer where we like to go swimming,

playing volleyball on the beach and riding banana

boats. Normally these things we do in the afternoon

because in the evening we have to go home.

Page 9: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

Although it is hot we do enjoy our times

together in Nang Ram Beach being the most popular

beach in Sattahip because not only are there many

facilities and restaurants located there but it is also taken care of by the Thai Navy.

Another interesting place is the HTMS ChakriNaruebet (Thai จกัรีนฤเบศร, meaning "In honour of the Chakri

Dynasty") which is the flagship of the Royal Thai Navy (RTN)

but is usually only viewed by Thai citizens. Also, not far from

the Nang Ram beach there is an island where visitors can see

shallow coral reefs.

Page 11: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

Additionally, there are home stay

accommodations for visitors run by the Thai Navy as

well as lots of other activities such as banana boats,

horse riding, coral diving and driving a jet ski which is

exciting! There is however a rule in which you have to

exchange your identity card with Thai Navy at the

checkpoint to enter the Navy's areas.

*2. Wat Papradoo or Papradoo Temple

This ancient temple dates back to the

Ayutthaya period and within the structure houses a large reclining Buddha image which is 11.95 meters

long and 3.60 meters high. Unusually, the reclining

Buddha image lies on its left-hand side.

Page 13: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

This temple is next to my old high school and my

friends and I often go there to make merit on Buddhist

religious days or when we wish to have good fortune for things such as mid-terms and final tests.

Page 14: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

It gives us peace of mind and some times we

also like to help with temple activities such as

sweeping the temple court or washing dishes when

the once a year Buddhist ceremony of Thot Kathin

occurs.

*This place is so amazing for me and my friends

and we often spend many times many hours there to

taking many pictures with the beautiful paintings.

I really love going there and always want to go back

when I can.

Page 16: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

The admission fee is 150 baht and my suggestion

is you go there with many friends so you can take photos

with the many photos anywhere and anyway you like

such as sitting, or lying on the floor or up side down or while making funny faces with the pictures.

Page 17: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

This museum paints in three-dimensional

paintings and looks very real, with which you can pose

creatively and take photographs.

Page 18: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

The museum is not an ordinary art gallery

and amazes you at the awesome three

dimensional paintings that look as if me and

friends are real.

*Mimosa's atmosphere is modeled after Amsterdam

containing chic shopping area decorated with cute and fun things in

a nature environment. Following the concept as 'The City of Love'

is caters to weddings and lots of these hang amongst its walls and buildings.

Page 20: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

There are also spots of interesting objects for

visitors to take photos of as well. A small canal is in the

middle of the area which contributes to its major

theme of Amsterdam which also helps make the area more relaxed and comfortable to walk around.

Page 21: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

On its main walkway, there are

buildings facing towards one another

with the buildings consisting of mostly

restaurants and souvenir shops.

Page 22: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

In the evening there are 'Ladyboy' shows starting at 17:00 which cost 50 baht for admission. My

friends and I love these shows as they are so much

fun and we love to watch them go into the audience

to kiss boys in the audience which we think is so

funny!

Page 23: Rayong by Miss Thitima Poolhirun

The last time we were there however there was

a light rain falling but we continued to sit through the

show because we had never seen a ladyboy show

before. I liked this show and the costumes and the

make up and at first I didn't know they were boys but

knew when my friends told me.
