4 Years of Sustainability Program at EC
2017 is the rst year when Electric Castle embraces the #ZeroWaste mission as a long-term goal to reduce, reuse and recycle all the waste generated at the festival

We asked festival participants for feedback on the sustainability program of Electric Castle 2017 to achieve greater results at the next editions.
The data was collected through an online feedback form, conducted in October 2017 with 66 respondents.
Key ndings:
On the program:
87.7% respondents knew that EC has a sustainability program
47.7% associate it with the Lidl brand
93.8% noticed that the waste was selectively collected at EC
92.3% appreciate the overall cleanliness at EC 2017 as clean or very clean
On Zero Waste:
84.6% appreciate the #ZeroWaste long term goal to reduce, reuse & recycle all the waste generated at the festival as “Very important”, respectively 10.4% as “important”
84.6% have used the recycling stations provided on the site
“You did an excellent job on keeping the festival as clean as possible, I could not believe it. Keep up the good work and keep it eco!”
“Get more people to help with this campaign! Set up more recycling spots on site! Raise more awareness!”
“You can try ‘Bring your own plates and cutlery’ or use bio biodegradable plates/glasses (for the food court), maybe penalize somehow the people who don’t recycle.”21
