First Saturday Dance March!
Somebody grab my hand!
One of Joes favorite parts of the eveningwas paying the door fee and donating to the
50/50 fund raiser.

This months dance had a good turnout. We had
four students and 32 members dancing. The
50/50 Fundraiser pulled in an extra 30 bucks!
Thanks for all who attended and made it great!

April is an exciting month for the Ramblers. Our April First Saturday dance is also our ann
membership meeting, the election of the new Rambler board and the graduation for both the Mainstream a
Plus classes! Our featured caller for the April First Saturday Dance is Aaron Wells, aka Iona Doublewi
Please come and support our new class graduates.If you have renewed your Rambler membership, we thank you for your continuous support. Y
membership due is very important to the club. With your generosity and hours of angeling, you all help
Ramblers achieved2 important goals this year: 1) retain existing members and 2) recruit new dancers.Your membership due enables the club to hire national callers for our First Saturday Dances.
understand our members want to dance and have fun square dancing. What better way to give back to
members through great dancing events! Our caller line up for the rest of the year includes Mike DeSi
Anne Uebelacker and Sandie Bryant. Our SNS fly-in featured callers are Mike Kellogg and Vic Ceder.
In addition to our great First Saturday Dance, the club will also have free club night every Wednesd
night in May and June. We'll be dancing at the Milwaukie Grange the entire months of May and June. It
great opportunity for us to have more dancing before the Convention in Atlanta. There will be m
information to come in the near future.I'm also very grateful to many angels who devoted many hours of 'angel time' for the mainstre
classes. Your dedication made it possible for the club to achieve our second goal: Recruit new dancers. T
year's graduation will be the biggest in a decade. There are 17 mainstream graduates and 7 plus graduat
Our graduation class is possibly one of the biggest classes among the IAGSDC clubs. The board sincer
thanks all of the angels and class caller Scott Zinser. You made it possible.
The Ramblers future is bright. I'm proud to be a Rambler and I hope you all be proud of
achievement this year. If you want to show your pride, participate in the Portland Pride Parade with
Rosetown Ramblers! Rosetown Ramblers will continue our tradition to have a float at the Pride Parade
year. This year the Pride Parade is on June 19 (Sunday), same day as Father's Day. We'll have m
information about the Pride event in the coming months.

Portland. Eugene ishome to the Spin Cycle
Squares. Their club
members often come to
our dances, and wetravel down for their
dances. To honor this
brotherhood/sisterhood

Spin Chain Thru
Eugene. This will be aregular section when
Eugene has a dance.

At first, we were nervous - we
messed up a lot on the first tip.
But, it got much better after that.
We had a blast. The callers weregreat - the workshops really helped
us with a few of the calls we didn't
quite get at first. Everyone wasvery friendly and welcoming. A
great weekend!
