MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS

Voluntary activity and community organization with special interest in the employment of volunteers in human services, the role of voluntary organizations in the community, grassroots organizations, and local religious congregations’ social and community service provision.

Faith-based social welfare. Studying the role that congregations and other religious organizations play in serving the needs of poor and vulnerable residents.

Reentry of ex-prisoners into society and prevention of recidivism.

Social policy with special interest on international comparative analysis.
