THE THAR DESERTIndia has a large

desert region towards the west of Aravali Hills in Rajasthan. This is, the Indian Desert, also known as the Thar Desert.

CLIMATE OF REGIONThe desert region

remains hot and dry throughout the year. There is hardly little or no rainfall. During the summer season, the days are very hot & the nights are very cool. During the winter season, the days are warm and nights are cool.

DESERT ANIMALSThere are many

animals in desert, but the most usefull animal is the desert camel. Other animals are desert fox, snake, eagle , moniter lizards and etc.

FAMOUS MONUMENTSRajasthan has a

number of monuments. There is the one of largest fort in the world, the Jaisalmer Fort. Other famous monuments are Hawa Mahal, Mehrangarh fort, Jantar Mantar, Ashok Nagar, Jalmahalpalace etc.

PEOPLE IN RAJASTHANPeople in

Rajasthan wear beautiful & colourful clothes . Ladies also wear heavy jwellery, they also wear ghagras, odhnis and cholis. People of Rajasthan make India colourfull.
