Kathy Jo Peterson Founder Raise the Cake Winner of the coveted “modern bride trendsetter of the year 2009”, Kathy Jo’s apparent meteoric rise to the top of the wedding industry only represents one aspect of her forte. She traveled the world, among royalty, as a personal assistant to a foreign prince and princess. During those 15 years, she learned how to navigate among those of the highest taste level and met with their discriminating expectations. She acquired the poise and directness needed to interact with all people. She has built a successful business as a wedding and event planner, serving clients ranging from celebrities to neighbors. She has designed and coordinated wedding with budgets from $20k to $1,000,000 and guest counts from 25 to 500. Her meticulous eye for detail and knowledge of what is ‘on trend’ and current is one of the reasons her clients return and recommend friends and family. Over the past 12 years, she has made valuable connections with “decision makers” in the hotel and hospitality industries. She is referred by such esteemed 5 star establishments as the Ritz Carlton, the St. Regis, and the Montage Resort. She is also a member of the association of bridal consultants and is the creator and lead chairperson for their annual trendsetter awards. Kathy Jo is a popular speaker, often featured at a variety of community and professional events. Her newest passion, “Raise the Cake” came about to meet the ever growing, ever changing wants of discerning clients. This invention, unique to the industry, has already been received with an overwhelming response by those ‘in the know’ of the wedding industry and by fine bake shops wanting to showcase their products! Her passion for achieving the best is what drives her.
