• Divide the cake mix into 3 equal parts.

• Add a few drops of yellow, orange and pink gel food colouring.

• Mix thoroughly, keep mixing till the batter is all one solid colour.

• Line the cupcake tin with brown cupcake papers.

• Fill the cups approx 2/3rds full with the coloured cake mix.

• Bake till the cupcake is cooked through and springs back when press in the middle.

• Take the cupcakes out of the tin and leave to cool completely.

• Using a small spoon, scoop out the middle of the cooled cupcakes.

• Only scoop out the top half, don’t go all the way to the bottom. • Scraps can be eaten at

this stage !

• Fill the scooped out centre of each of the cupcakes with your choice of lollies. • MnM’s are always a

great choice but you can use whatever suits the cupcake flavour best.

• Divide your icing into 3 small bowls.

• Colour each using purple, blue and lime green gel food colouring.

• Set up your piping bags with star nozzles and fill each with a different coloured buttercream icing.

• Twist the top of the piping bag and wrap your hand around.

• Hold the bag straight, over the top of the cupcake.

• Start in the middle and pipe a large round using the purple icing.

• Pipe a smaller round of blue icing on top of the purple.

• Repeat this process and end with the lime green icing.

• Dust your work surface with a thin layer of cornflour.

• Knead your white gumpaste to soften it and make is easier to work with.

• Roll out the gumpaste, approx 2-3mm thick.

• Cut out a small heart and leave to one side.

• Using the funky tappits cut the letters I, C, A, K and E. • Leave all the decorations to dry out

completely, at least over night if not a few days.

• Brush each letter and the heart with a thin layer of glue (this step is much easier when the decorations are dry).

• Brush each of the glued decoration with some Hologram white glitter, cover the decorations completely and leave to dry out.

• Once the glue has dried, pick each decoration up very carefully and press into the icing.

• Peel the paper off the cupcake.

• Carefully cup the cupcake in half to reveal the surprise inside.

• LOLLIES !!!
