RACE DETAILS RACE COURSE The course as detailed on the map has remained unchanged since 2003. All three events start and finish in the hospital grounds. For safety reasons, the RTA, SES and police require that the footpath must be used on the part of the course along Fox Valley Road. Runners/Walkers are asked to use the footpath where practicable on the rest of the course, however if you elect to use the roadways you must run/walk on the right hand side against general traffic. Lucinda Avenue will be closed by the police between 7.30am and 10.30am to all except residential traffic. Please remember you are sharing the road with vehicles and must not obstruct their progress. RACE RULES All runners/walkers must wear their race number in a prominent position on the front of their torso and strap on the anklet timing chip provided to accurately record your finishing time. The timing chip must be handed in at the collection point after you have been recorded coming through the finish gantry. Failure to return the chip may result in a $15 fine. All participants must follow the directions of race officials, marshals, police officers and SES and follow the course as marked. In the event of a dispute, the race referee’s decision will be final. You must make way immediately for all emergency vehicles under siren including Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade and SES. •RestRiction in 5Km WalK event The ‘Run For Life’ 5km Walk event is only for walkers - no running is allowed at any time.
