Race Day FAQs 2017 What time does the race start? 9:30 am Sunday 10 th September 2017 Where do I park? All entrants MUST park at the Mintex test track, which is just a short walk away from Race HQ (Sherburn Aero Club). The entrance is on Lennerton Lane, off Bishopdyke Road (B1222). A map is attached to these instructions and a Google Map can be viewed here (the nearest postcode is LS25 6JG). There are a record number of entrants to the race this year (over 2,000), which will mean additional pressure on the car park. Please consider car sharing if you can so that we can ensure that everyone can get parked in good time before the race starts. The car park will be open from 7:15am. There will be NO parking at Race HQ or on the roads leading to Race HQ; these roads are part of the course. Do not attempt to park on the roads or at Race HQ, as you will be blocking the course as well as being further away from both the Start and Finish. IF YOU ARE BEING DROPPED OFF, BUT NOT PARKING, do not enter the Mintex test track. The access road is one way, IN ONLY, until ALL runners have left and are on Bishopdyke Road. There will be no exceptions. So if your driver wishes to leave before 10am he/she should drop you off on New Lennerton Lane at the point where the road narrows to a single lane (https://goo.gl/maps/J5ihtDJXeDA2), 400 metres before the Aero Club. Do not attempt to drive into the Aero Club. How do I get my race number? Race numbers are NOT being sent out in advance. Your personal race number (which contains your timing chip) will be available for collection on the day at Race HQ. Race HQ will be open from 7:30am and will be signposted from the car park. The attached map shows the walk route from the car park to Race HQ. You will not need specific ID to collect your race number; they will be distributed alphabetically by surname.
