Main points to consider:• You can get into uni without an OP (tertiary rank used)• Degrees can take 3 to 7 years to complete (F/T)• 4 months after graduating university:

– 80.1% in full-time employment– 14.2% in further study

University Costs

• Course costs depend on course and subjects, examples: – 3 yr nursing $18,150 ($6,044 per year) – 4 yr education $24,174 ($6,044 per year) – 4 yr engineering $34,452 ($8,613 per year)

– 4 yr law $40,340 ($10,085 per year)

• Can defer course costs through HECS HELP (if eligible): – start repaying when income is $51,309 or higher (2013)– E.g., 4% repayment on $51,309 = $40/wk or $%2,452/yr

• Other costs: text books, prac uniforms, etc.
