I am very lucky to have such a wonderful community to work with. I would personally like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at school who have ensured everything continued running smoothly. Special thanks to Mrs Kirsty Matthews who capably filled my role during my absence and did an outstanding job. The end of year is fast approaching and there are numerous events on the calendar. Library As we near the end of the school year, can everyone have a good look around the house for any library books that may have been borrowed during the year. We have a large number of outstanding long-term overdue library books. These are essential resources for our school and we’d love for them to be returned. If you come across any of our library books over the next few weeks, can you please place them in the returns box in the library. THIS WEEK IS THE LAST WEEK FOR BORROWING!

K-2 Christmas Shopping It is that wonderful time of year again when many of us are preparing for Christmas. K-2 has a tradition of offering Christmas shopping to all of their students. This initiative is not only lots of fun for the children but it also provides us with funds for purchasing resources to be utilised in K-2. We appreciate the tough times that have hit a lot of our families due to the ongoing drought and are therefore not asking you to supply the gifts this year. We will however accept any donations you are happy to make. When: Friday 6 December 2019 Time: Allocated times during

the day to be advised We are asking for parent/carer volunteers to help on the day. Their job will be to sell the presents which will then be wrapped by the Year 6 students. We will send out a note closer to the day, informing you when your child’s class will be going shopping. That way you can help during your child’s shopping time if you would like to.
