Upon connecting to Zoom

⚫ Set your Zoom Username to be “your presentation ID + your full name” (e.g., “E-1-1 Taro YAMADA”).

⚫ Be sure to run the audio test (required).

Before the session starts (during coffee break)

During and after your presentation

In case of trouble

⚫ If you have trouble with the audio etc., use the “chat” function of Zoom to let the meeting host and the chairperson.

⚫ Check the microphone, camera, and screen sharing, with the meeting host before the session starts.

⚫ If you play videos in your presentation, be sure to test it. (The “Share sound” and “Optimize for video clip” boxes

must be checked.)

Before the conference starts

⚫ Install the Zoom app on your PC. (Update to the latest version, if the Zoom app is already installed.)

After entering Zoom meeting

Key Points

⚫ Find the session on the online program and join the Zoom meeting 15 minutes before the session starts.

⚫ Turn on your microphone and camera and share screen before your start the presentation.

⚫ Remember to stop screen sharing upon finishing the presentation and then turn off the microphone and camera.

⚫ Pay attention to the time displayed and the bell. page 6

Join the Zoom meeting of your session 15 minutes before it starts.

join with computer audio.

Do the same setups when you start your presentation.

(1) Turn on your microphone and

camera.

(2) Click “Share Screen.”

(3) Select the screen of the

presentation file.

(4) If you play videos in your

presentation, check the

“Share sound” and “Optimize

for video clip” boxes.

(5) Click “Share.”

The bell will ring at the following timings.

Know How Much Time You Have

Before the second bell, the timer indicates the remaining time just for the talk,

that is, the time till the second bell.

After the second bell, the timer indicates the total remaining time for the

presentation including discussions, that is, the time till the third bell.6

full-screen mode for PDF files.

If there’s anything you wish to check

with the meeting host or the chair,

use the chat function of Zoom.

Please turn off your microphone and camera when not giving a presentation,

except when you are appointed to ask a question as an audience.

Set the username as follows using

the “Rename” menu that appears

when clicking the “setup” menu

indicated by three dots.
